hi gavin, i have recently bought some studio strobes from ebay they are very good for a student like me but i would like to be able to make them portable i only have £200 max please help
That’s not going to happen with standard studio lights on that budget. If you want to go portable, invest in some speedlights which run on AA batteries.
Hello Gavin, I have a question for you. How can I fake macro photography without a macro lens? I’m using a 18-55mm. Thank you very much
Hi Gavin, I have 3 speedlights and I have just bought a monolight. Now I understand that I set a light meter to ISO and TV to get an f-stop. But let’s say I have my monolight as a key light and want the set one of my speedlights as a fill light. Because they use power settings rather than an f-stops, how would I set the speedlight to say 2-stops less then the monololight? Hope this makes sense.
Every time you halve the power you reduce the flash by one stop… Doubling the power adds a stop more light.
